After winning the 2011 Skiing Magazine People’s Choice Award at LaParva Chile “Eye Of The Condor” film and photography competition, Skiing Magazine rewarded Team Discrete (Julian Carr, Rachael Burks, Parker Cook, Ben Wheeler, Chris Bezamat, John Roderick) with an photo/video assignment trip covering Montana. The crew skied Bridge Bowl & Teton Pass Ski Resort in the Lewis & Clark National Forest.

This is what life consists of for the next four months.. 

Neu Productions is currently working on a documentary film titled LymeLight with professional skier Angeli VanLaanen who is currently living with Lyme Disease. 

LymeLight follows professional freeskier Angeli VanLaanen as she overcomes the complications of living with the chronic illness, “Lyme Disease”. Angeli, just twenty-six years old from Bellingham, Washington is considered one of the top women freeskiers in the world, competing in many high profile events such as X-Games and having countless photos published in magazines, more recently, featured on the cover of Skiing Magazine.

Lyme Disease is a bacterial infection caused by tick bites that can develop into complications with the joints, heart and nervous system if not treated. Angeli, living with Lyme disease for over 15 years, 14 of which were misdiagnosed, was forced to pullout from her professional skiing career to focus on her health. Through strong mental and physical determination, you see Angeli work to overcome her illness and return back to her sport of professional freeskiing.     

LymeLight serves as an inspirational story for those who have fought to overcome chronic illness and physical setbacks, as well as delivering a powerful message of the importance of living a healthy, active lifestyle on a daily basis.

Angeli’s drive for Lyme education and awareness is truly inspiring and will touch audiences around the world.
